Zheenbekov: The main direction of presidential work will be fight against corruption

Bishkek, Jan. 10, 2018. / Kabar/. The main direction of the presidential work will be a decisive fight against corruption. President Sooronbai Zheenbekov told during a meeting with residents of Zhumgal region of Naryn oblast.

He recalled that he began his pre-election meetings with voters as a presidential candidate in Zhumgal.

"You were the first to give me your blessing. Now, as a president, I begin my meetings with the residents of Zhumgal. I express my gratitude to you for your trust and support," Zheenbekov said.

He stressed that he will fulfill all his pre-election promises on the development of the regions and the country. "For me, the interests of the country are the most valuable," Zheenbekov said.

"There are all possibilities for fulfilling my election program. At the moment, the expert group is completing work on the draft National Strategy for Sustainable Development until 2040. This Strategy will include, including directions on my pre-election program for the development of the country," the President stressed.

Zheenbekov emphasized that the main direction of his presidential work will be a decisive fight against corruption.

He said that a meeting of the Security Council will be held the next month, where the issue of combating corruption discussed.

At the meeting, the residents asked questions about the elimination of excessive bureaucracy in the work of local authorities, the creation of jobs, the eradication of corruption elements, the construction of an alternative North-South road, the Balykchy-Kara-Keche railway project, the construction of canals, irrigation facilities, roads, schools, hospitals, kindergartens, support of local business in terms of obtaining affordable loans.

Answering the questions, Zheenbekov said that the Decree "On Declaring 2018 the Year of Regional Development", signed by him, will create conditions for a planned solution of these issues.

He called on everyone to be responsible for building a clean society - from the average citizen to the president.
